Press Release: Project Weavers Approved By VA for Veterans Vocational Rehabilitation and Employment Program
Reno, Nevada, United States – October 13, 2015 – Project Weavers, LLC, today announces that the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) has approved our PMP/CAPM Certification Exam Prep classes for the Veterans Vocational Rehabilitation and Employment (VR&E) program. The VR&E program is authorized by Congress under Title 38 of the United States Code, Chapter 31. VR&E helps veterans and servicemembers prepare for, find, and maintain suitable careers. VA VR&E program funds give qualifying veterans and servicemembers direct access to meaningful and immediate training. Basic program eligibility includes being a current service member or veteran separated within the last 12 years, typically with service-connected disability rating of at least 20% and employment handicap or a rating of 10% and serious employment handicap. VA and military Integrated Disability Evaluation System (IDES) participants may also qualify. Employers rely on the Project Management Institute’s Project Management Professional (PMP)® certification to identify and qualify project managers. Project managers in turn use PMI’s Registered Education Providers (R.E.P.) for certification training and maintenance, especially since median salaries for the profession now exceed $100,000 (USD). Project Weavers fills this niche with 100% live training, both online and in person. Using typical workflow of a project (PMI’s process groups), the company’s instructors help students understand, discuss, and apply the practices, knowledge, and skills typically expected of experienced project managers. “As a veteran I am honored that the Veterans Administration has approved our training using the VA’s chapter 31 Vocational Rehabilitation and Employment program,” shared Matthew Weaver, President/CEO of Project Weavers. “We take that trust seriously.”
